Poverty & Me – the Fall Youth Retreat of the Bay of Quinte Conference

November 18-20, 2016

We had an amazing time hosting 40+ youth from across the United Church of Canada’s Bay of Quinte Conference with our friends at St. Paul’s United here in Bowmanville! The Poverty & Me Fall Youth Retreat was fantastic!

Thank you to all who joined us for a wonderful Reign of Christ | Children’s Sunday – Inter-generational Worship Service led by the Youth delegates on Sunday in the Trinity United Church Sanctuary.

Trinity United Church and St. Paul’s United Church were proud to co-host Poverty & Me. Over 40 youths (Grade 7 to 12) from across the Conference joined us in Bowmanville from November 18-20, 2016.

Thank you to the incredible volunteers/staff & youth leaders from across Bay of Quinte Conference, including our wonderful caterers and all those who made our guests feel safe, secure and welcome.

This event was organized by a collective of volunteers from Bay of Quinte who are ministry  personnel, lay people and is supported by the Conference Children, Youth and Young Adult Committee and by the Bay of Quinte Conference Minister: Programs and Youth.

Our goal was to provide engaging, challenging, and nurturing opportunities to build relations and to link our experiences with justice making and lived faith. We hope to build community for youth across the conference.
